Abstract：Objective To compare the application effect of pneumatic lithotripsy and holmium laser lithotripsy in ureteral calculi.Methods A total of 90 ureteral calculi patients treated in our hospital from September 2016 to September 2017 were selected and divided into observation group (n=45)and control group (n=45)according to random number table method.The pneumatic lithotripsy was performed in the control group;the holmium laser lithotripsy was performed in the observation group.The operation conditions,residual urine volume (Ur),MFR (maximum flow rate)and adverse event rate for two groups were compared.Results The operation time,hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than that in the control group,blood loss was reduced than that in the control group,with significant difference among groups (t=6.665,12.285,10.873,P<0.05).After treatment,the Ur in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group (t=6.990,P<0.05）;but the MFR in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(t=12.491,P<0.05）;the total incidence of adverse reactions rate in the observation group (2.22%)was significantly lower than that in the control group (13.33%)(χ2=8.607,P<0.05）.Conclusion The holmium laser lithotripsy can remarkably improve the Ur and MFR,reduce the blood loss and adverse event rate,and shorten the hospitalization time.It is worthy of application and promotion.
