Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of red and blue light auxiliarily treating chronic suppurative otitis media(active stage).Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic otitis media treated in the outpatient service of department of ENT in Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University from February 2016 to October 2017 were randomly selected and divided into the experiment group (40 cases)and control group (40 cases).The control group was treated with Left Ofloxacin Ear Drops,while the experiment group was treated with Left Ofloxacin Ear Drops combined with red and blue light.The course of treatment was 2 weeks,and the therapeutic effect and hearing improvement between the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the experiment group was 85.0%,which was higher than that of the control group (67.5%),and there was a statistical difference (P<0.05).The pre and post-treatment changes in air-bone gap and gas conductivity threshold of the experiment group was significant,and the improvement of hearing was better than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Red and blue light is effective in the treatment of chronic suppurative otitis media(active stage).
