Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the effectiveness of application of 3D printing technology in surgical treatment of calcaneal fractures.MethodsAltogether 60 cases of calcaneal fractures who were treated in our hospital from February 2014 to February 2017 were reviewed and analyzed.They were divided into the control group and the experiment group by difference surgerymethod,30 cases in each group.Two groups of patientswere treated with open reduction and internal fixation.The control group underwent surgery according to CT (computerized tomography)two-dimensional image and X-ray image.The experiment group was treated with surgery by 3D printing technique after the pre-shaping of the steel plate.The difference in the outcome of the patients with calcaneal fracture were compared between two groups.ResultsThe duration of surgery and intraoperative hemorrhage of experiment group were significantly shorter than those of the control group (P<0.05).The excellent treatment rate of experiment group (90.00%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(66.67%),and the X-ray exposure probability of the C-arm was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications between two groups had no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).ConclusionWith application of 3D printing technique in surgical treatment of calcaneal fractures,the presurgical design and simulation of the operation can be performed,which improves the effect of operation,reduces the probability of complications and has clinical significance.
