Abstract:Objective To probe into the effect of self management on blood pressure in patients with hypertension.Methods A total of 190 hypertensive patients managed by our center from January 2013 to January 2016 were selected and divided into control group(n=90)and study group(n=100)by intervention method.Patients in the control group were given routine health guidance,medication guidance and matters needing attention related to diseases,and were instructed to arrange their daily life and dietary habits reasonably and normally.Patients in the study group were intervened by self management model during treatment,and blood pressure control and health status of patients in the two groups were evaluated before and after the intervention.Results There was no significant difference in blood pressure indicators between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After the intervention,the blood pressure indicators of the two groups were significantly decreased,and the blood pressure indicators of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the scores of health status between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).After the intervention,the health status scores of the two groups of patients were significantly increased,and the health status scores of patients in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion The self management of patients with hypertensive which can significantly improve the health of the patients,and can effective control of blood pressure,thus it have high application and promotion significance for patients with hypertension.
