Abstract:Rectal cancer is the third most common malignancy in all the world which seriously affects human physical health and quality of life.It should be valued by people, and the realization of individualized treatment strategies is very important.MRI and its functional MR can be used to diagnose rectal cancer accurately, and assess preoperative situation, predict prognosis and evaluate effect of radiotherapy and chemotherapy which provide useful informations for choosing clinical treatment strategies. In this article,we reviewed the clinical application of DWI in preoperative evaluation of rectal cancer and evaluation of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
