Abstract：ObjectiveTo study the effect of orthodontics combined with repair in the treatment of defect of dentition complicated with dentognathic deformity.Methods84 patients with defect of dentition complicated with dentognathic deformity treated in our hospital from August 2013 to August 2015 were selected and they were divided into research group(n=42)and control group(n=42)by dynamic randomization.In the control group,direct repair was applied,while in the research group,orthodontics combined with repair was provided.The clinical effect and tooth recovery between two groups were compared.ResultsThe total effective rate in the research group (92.86%)was higher than that in the control group(69.05%)(P＜0.05).The good rate of dental tidiness,jaw-biting of posterior teeth,and jaw-covering of anterior teeth in the research group (95.24%,100.00%,95.24%respectively)were higher than those in the control group (80.95%,76.19%,78.57%respectively)(P＜0.05).ConclusionOrthodontics combining with repair in the treatment of defect of dentition complicated with dentognathic deformity can obtain a better effect with satisfied tooth recovery,which can be extensively used in clinic.
