Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the influence of nursing intervention of Traditional Chinese Medicine on blood glucose control in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods200 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in our hospital from October 2013 to January 2015 were selected and were divided into the observation group and the control group based on the sequence of admission to the hospital,with 100 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional nursing intervention,while the observation group was given the nursing intervention of Traditional Chinese Medicine.The fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose and nursing satisfaction were compared between two groups.ResultsBefore intervention,there were no significant differences between the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose in two groups(P>0.05);after intervention,those in two groups were all decreased,and compared with those before intervention,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).And those in the observation group was lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionUsing nursing intervention of Traditional Chinese Medicine in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus can effectively control the level of blood glucose and improve the nursing satisfaction.
