Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the clinical effect of Octreotide combined with Thrombin treating cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding.MethodsA total of 60 patients with cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding treated in our hospital from December 2014 to December 2016 were selected.By drawing lots, they were divided into two groups.Regular treatment like nutritional support was provided in both groups.Besides,in the control group(n=30),Octreotide was provided, and in the observation group(n=30),Octreotide combined with Thrombin was applied. The success rate of hemostasis, average hospital stay, rebleeding rate and mean hemostatic time were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe average hemostasis time in the observation group was (18.3±3.3)h,and it was less than that in the control group[(27.6±4.0)h](P<0.05).The average hospital stay in the observation group was(7.2±2.9)d and was shorter than the control group[(9.6±5.6)d](P<0.05).The success rate of hemostasis in the observation group was 100.00%,and it was much higher than that in the control group accounting for 73.33%(P<0.05).The rebleeding rate in the observation group was 3.33%,and it was greatly lower than that in the control group accounting for 26.67% (P<0.05).ConclusionOctreotide combined with Thrombin treating cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding has a great effect, and it can obviously shorten the hemostasis time, decrease the rate of rebleeding, and improve the success rate of hemostasis.
