Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy of intravenous injection of large dose of gamma globulin in children with viral encephalitis.Methods60 cases of children with viral encephalitis were admitted to the department of pediatrics from January 2013 to September 2016,they were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, 30 cases in each group. On the basis of routine treatment in two groups, the treatment group was given intravenous infusion of gamma globulin. The total effective rate of the two groups were compared and the curative effect was observed by comparing the time of fever relief, the time to stop seizure, the time of turning consciousness and the total days of hospitalization.ResultsIn the treatment group, the time of fever relief, the time of seizure, the turn of consciousness and the total number of days of hospitalization were shorter than those of control group(P<0.05),the total effective rate of treatment group was 96.7%,higher than that of control group of 63.3%(P<0.01).ConclusionLarge doses of gamma globulin in the treatment of viral encephalitis in the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs,it has more significant effect,it can reduce the number of hospital days.
