Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect and safety of tension-free hernia repair treating inguinal hernia.MethodsClinical related data of 78 patients with inguinal hernia treated in our hospital from May 2012 to February 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.32 cases as control group were treated by traditional hernia repair, and the other 46 cases as observation group were treated by tension-free hernia repair. The operation time, length of stay, length of incision, blood loss during operation were compared between two groups.Pain after operation were compared between two groups by using visual analog score(VAS).The incidence rate of postoperative complication and recurrence rate and incidence rate of pain between two groupswere compared.ResultsThe operation time and hospitalization time of observation group were significantly shorter than the control group (P<0.05),blood loss during operation in observation group was significantly less than that of control group, and incision length in observation group was significantly shorter than that of control group (P<0.05).The incidence rate of scrotal edema and local lump sensation in observation group after operation was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.05).VAS score 2 days after operation in observation groupwassignificantly lower than thatofcontrolgroup(P<0.05).The recurrence rateand incidence rate ofpain after 6months operation in observation group were significantly lower than those of control group(P<0.05).ConclusionThe effectof tension-free hernia repair treating inguinal hernia is significantwith lower recurrence rate and fewer postoperative complication compared with traditional hernia repair. It isworthy of clinical popularization.
