Abstract：Objective To explore the current status and reason of drug withdrawal in gastroenterology ward of our hospital. Methods 280 patients from December 1st2014 to February 6th2015 were selected as the research group,the drug withdrawal data was recorded by Excel software.By drawing Pareto chart,the primary and secondary factors of returning drugs was analyzed. Results There were 582 pieces of drug withdrawal in total,and the most proportion was injection and oral administration next.The Pareto chart showed the main factors of drug withdrawal were adjustment of treatment （56.53％）and discharge（23.54％）,and the secondary factor was refusing treatment or examination. Conclusion Factor of drug withdrawal in hospital are diverse,and targeted rectification measures should be drafted aiming at drug withdrawal and strengthening rational drug use,which protects patient′s safety,reduce medical disputes hazards and improve the quality of medical services.
