Abstract:Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and safety of tramadol in emergence agitation of general anesthesia. Methods 200 patients with ASA gradeⅠtoⅡtreated by upper abdominal surgeries in our hospital from January 2011 to January 2014 were selected and randomly divided into two groups(100 patients in each group).Patients in the observation group were treated by intravenous injection of tramadol 1.5 mg/kg,while patients in the control group were only intravenously injected by normal saline 2 ml.The emergence agitation, heart rates and mean arterial pressure (MAP)before and after operation, and at tracheal extubation and 10 min after extubation were recorded. The incidence of adverse event was statistically analyzed. Results Compared with the baseline values before anesthesia, after intervention, the heart rates and MAP at tracheal extubation were statistically significant enhanced(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the incidence of severe agitation in the observation group was significantly reduced(χ2=4.073,P<0.05).The incidences of nausea and vomiting in the observation group and control group was 10%(10/100)and 7% (7/100)respectively,without statistically significant difference between two groups. Conclusion Tramadol has favorable clinical effect and safety in treatment of emergence agitation of general anesthesia, which is worthy to be promoted.
