Abstract:Objective To explore the effectiveness of extracorporeal shock wave treatment of periarthritis of shoulder. Methods 52 cases of patients diagnosed with scapulohumeral periarthritis from October 2015 to January 2016 in our hospital, were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group of 26 cases, the treatment group was treated with extracorporeal shock wave and the control group was treated with the shortwave diathermy combined with shoulder joint function training.Visual analogue scale(VAS)were used to evaluate the pain level at the points of before treatment and 1 week,2 weeks,3 weeks,4 weeks after treatment. Results There was no statistically significant difference VAS score before treatment in treatment group and control group(P>0.05),various points in the two groups after treatment than before treatment VAS score decreased obviously(P<0.05).VAS of 1 and 2 weeks in treatment group after treatment reduce quickly, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),but in a later time point there was no obvious difference compared with control group (P>0.05).Conclusion Using extracorporeal shock wave treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis can make patients to relieve pain quickly, improve patient confidence and is beneficial to patients with disease rehabilitation.
