The clinical effect of Foley catheter combined with phloroglucinol and oxytocin on promoting cervical mature in late pregnancy

Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical application value between Foley catheter combined with phloroglucinol and oxytocin and pure small doses of oxytocin used in late pregnancy to promote cervical mature and induced labor. Methods From September 2015 to January 2016,80 cases pregnancy women in our hospital were randomized into observation group and control group,with cervical mature and induced labor indications and without rupture of fetal membrane,placenta in normal position,each group was 40 cases.The of cervical mature,cervical laceration rate,time of each stages of labor etc of two groups were observed and recorded.Results Compared with the control group,the cervical mature rate of the observation group was significantly increased(90%vs 45%,P<0.01);the cervix tube length of the observation group was significantly shortened[(1.11±0.62)cm vs(1.89±0.77)cm,P<0.05)];the Bishop score of the observation group was significantly increased [(8.10±0.54)scores vs(6.23±0.67)scores,P<0.01);The cervical laceration rate of the observation group was significantly shortened (5.0%vs 17.5%,P<0.01).Conclusion Foley catheter combined with phloroglucinol and oxytocin can significantly improve the maternal cervical maturity,and reduce the parturient process and cervical laceration rate in late pregnancy,curative effect is exact.This method can reduce maternal pain and has a high value in clinical application.
