Analysis of clinical effect of Phloroglucin for injection in promoting cervical softening in labor

Abstract：ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of Phloroglucin for injection in promoting cervical softening in labor.Methods58 puerperae with vaginal delivery admitted into our hospital from March 2015 to April 2016 were selected as research subject.They were assigned to the observation group and the control group according to the simple randomization method,and there were 29 patients in each group.The control group was given Oxytocin,and the observation group was given Oxytocin combined with Phloroglucinol.The maternal cervical maturity,time of delivery,total amount of postpartum hemorrhage and incidence rate of complication were compared between two groups.ResultsAfter treatment, the Bishop cervical maturity score in the observation group was significantly higher than that before treatment and that in the control group,and the latency period and the active period were shorter than those in the control group (P＜0.05). There were no significant difference in the second stage of labor,the third stage of labor,the total amount of postpartum hemorrhage (P＞0.05).The incidence rate of complication in the observation group was lower than that of the control group(χ2=6.72,P=0.01).ConclusionPhloroglucinol for injection can promote the cervix softening,which can shorten the first stage of labor and reduce the amount of postpartum hemorrhage and the incidence rate of complication.
