Investigation on the current situation of safety injection and intervention measures in first-level hospitals in administrative area

Abstract:Objective To get known the status quo of safe injection in the first-level hospitals in the administrative area,and to implement the occupational exposure and prevention and control measures of hospital infection.Methods The nurses on guard in 22 first-level hospitals from March to August 2016 in the administrative area were selected as research objects.The status quo of safe injection and nurse-related knowledge were investigated and intervened.The outcome before and after intervention were compared.Results After intervention,the correct rate of answering safety injection related knowledge,the passing rate of skin test needle using and exchanging for everyone,the passing rate of non-reusing needle on adding new drugs,the passing rate of re-sheathing needle cap without double hands,and the passing rate of separating syringe without bare-hand,were much higher in comparison with those before intervention, which were displayed statistical differences (P<0.01).Conclusion The safety injection of 22 hospitals in the area is not optimistic.Effective measures including establishing and improving the rules and regulations,configuring the safe injection supplies,normalizing the nurses′operation behavior,strengthening the nurses′knowledge training on safe injection as well as check and supervision can reduce the unsafe injection factors,risk of hospital infection,and improve the current situation.
