Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effects of reduced glutathione in diabetes drug induced liver injury in the elderly patients.Methods 62 elderly diabetes patients with drug induced liver injury from January 2012 to December 2014 of our hospital were selected and were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Each group was 31 cases.Patients in control group were given routine treatment，and patients in treatment group were given intravenous infusion reduced glutathione injection 1.2 g into saline 150 ml once a day，for 6 weeks on the basis of control group.The cure rate and incidence of adverse reaction between two groups were compared.Results The cure rate in treatment group was 87.1%，higher than 64.5%in control group with statistical difference（P＜0.05）.The incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups had no statistical differenc（P＞0.05）.Conclusion Reduced glutathione can enhance the cure rate and decrease the rate of turn into chronic liver disease of elderly diabetes patients with drug induced liver injury.
