Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of applying phloroglucinol and lidocaine on artificial abortion together with nursing intervention. Methods From June 2014 to July 2015，120 pregnant women who would like to terminate the pregnancy in our gynecological department were evenly divided into control group and experimental group by drawing lots. They were provided with only lidocaine and lidocaine combining with phloroglucinol by intrauterine perfusion as well as nursing intervention respectively.The therapeutic effect in both groups were observed. Results In the experimental group，the effective rate of cervical dilation was more obvious in comparison with that in the control group（P＜0.05）.The pain during surgery and after surgery in the experimental group was much milder in comparison with that in the control group（P＜0.05）.The intraoperative amount of bleeding and operation time were less and shorter in comparison with those in the control group（P＜0.05）.The incidence of syndrome after artificial abortion was a bit lower in comparison with that in the control group，but there was no statistical difference（P＞0.05）. Conclusion During artificial abortion，application of phloroglucinol and lidocaine by intrauterine perfusion together with effective nursing can obtain a remarkable effect and is worth promoting.
