Abstract：Objective To analyze the application effect of flexible ureteroscope in the clinical treatment of upper urinary tract calculi.Methods From January 2014 to May 2015，76 patients with upper urinary tract calculi treated in our hospital were selected.Patients treated by holmium laser lithotripsy under flexible ureteroscope were selected as research group （n=38）.Patients treated by holmium laser lithotripsy under ureterscopy plus extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy were chosen as control group （n=38）.The clinical efficacy and postoperative complications in the two groups were compared.Results The total clinical therapeutic effective rate in the research group was much higher than that in the control group.Meanwhile，the incidence of complications in the research group was much lower than that in the control group，which was a displayed statistical difference between intra-groups（P＜0.05）.Conclusion In the clinical treatment of upper urinary tract calculi，surgery under flexible ureteroscope can effectively improve clinical efficacy，reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications in safety and efficiency，which has a good clinical application value.
