Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the curative effect of minimally invasive in the treatment of severe urethral stricture, and to provide guidance for clinical practice.Methods62 patients with severe urethral stricture who were admitted to our hospital from October 2009 to December 2014 were selected as the study subjects. The clinical data of 62 patients with severe urethral stricture were retrospectively analyzed.26 patients were given traditional surgical treatment(the traditional group),and 36 patients were given minimally invasive surgery (the minimally invasive group). The patients were all followed up for 2 years. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, clinical efficacy, urinary flow rate, length of stay, incidence rate of complications and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe operation time, length of stay in the minimally invasive group was shorter than that in the traditional group, the intraoperative blood loss in the minimally invasive group was less than that in the traditional group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The urine flow rate of the two groups after treatment was significantly higher than before treatment, with significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the urine flow rate between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).The cure rate of the minimally invasive group was 97.22%,compared with 92.31%of the traditional group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The incidence rate of complication in the minimally invasive group was 0.00%,which was significantly lower than 15.38%in the traditional group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The patients were followed-up for 2 years, and no recurrence was seen in the minimally invasive group.Compared with 7.69% in the traditional group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).ConclusionThe minimally invasive treatment for the patients with severe urethral stricture has a significant effect, and the operation time is shorter, intraoperative bleeding is less, which can significantly reduce the risk of complications in the patients, promote the prognosis and shorten the length of stay.
