Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the efficacy of extended nursing on compliance behavior of elderly patients with diabetes mellitus.Methods40 patients with diabetes mellitus in our hospital from January 5th2016 to March 6th2017 were selected and were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the different nursing methods, with 20 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, while the observation group was given extended nursing. The compliance behavior, postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, nursing satisfaction and master degree of blood glucose knowledge were compared between two groups.ResultsBefore intervention, there were no significant differences between two groups on compliance behavior, fasting blood glucose postprandial blood 2 h glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin(P>0.05);after intervention, the compliance behavior in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the levels of postprandial 2 h blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction and master degree of blood glucose knowledge in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe Conclusion:Extensive nursing is of great significance to elderly patients with diabetes mellitus, which can effectively improve the compliance behavior and control the blood glucose level. It is worthy to be popularized clinically.
