Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of strengthening nursing intervention during operation on swelling and pain of knee joint after total knee arthroplasty (TKA).Methods A total of 72 patients undergoing TKA who were treated in our hospital from January to December 2018 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into study group (n=36) and control group (n=36) according to the random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing intervention, the study group was given strengthening nursing intervention during operation on the basis of routine nursing. The postoperative knee joint swelling and pain of the two groups were compared. Results The degree of swelling of the knee joint in the study group was lighter than those in the control group (P<0.05);the visual analogue scale (VAS) scores of the study on the 1st,3rd,and 5th day after the operation group were lower than those of the control group, which was statistically significant (P<0.05).The quality of life scores of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group after surgery, with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Streagthening nursing interventions during operation for patients undergoing TKA can effectively reduce the degree of swelling of the knee joint, reduce pain, significantly improve the quality of life of patients, and thus increase patient satisfaction.
