Abstract:Objective To discuss the application effect of intermittent oral tube feeging in patients with swallowing dysfunction. Methods A total of 60 patients with chronic consciousness disorder and swallowing disorder admitted in Guangdong Industrial Injury Rehabilitation Hospital from January 2019 to December 2020 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, 30 cases in each group. The control group used conventional feeding method, the observation group was fed by intermittent feeding through oral tube, comparison of swallowing function of both groups(improved mann swallowing capacity assessment scale[MASA],fiber nasopharyngeal larynthroscopy swallowing function examination [FEES]), nutritional status (constitution index [BMI], triceps fold thickness [TSF], hemoglobin [Hb], the serum total protein [TP], albumin [ALB]), and complications. Results After treatment, the MASA, FEES score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the BMI, TSF, ALB, Hb, TP of the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of inhaled pneumonia in the observation group (3.33%) was lower than that of the control group (23.33%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the incidence of diarrhea, constipation, hydroelectrolyte disorder and anxiety (P>0.05).Conclusion Intermittent oral tube feeding is used in patients with swallowing dysfunction, which can improve their swallowing dysfunction and have high application value.
