Abstract: Objective To investigate the influencing factors of medication compliance of pulmonary tuberculosis (PT)patients among floating population in Zhongshan City. Methods The data of 143 cases of PT among floating population in Zhongshan City from June 2018 to June 2020 were collected. The relevant information was obtained through questionnaire survey. Morisky medication adherence scale-8 (MMAS-8) was used to evaluate medication compliance, and the influencing factors of medication compliance of PT patients among floating population were analyzed. Results Single factor analysis results showed that the medication compliance of PT patients among floating population was not affected by gender, residence distance from hospital and occupation (P>0.05). However, the medication compliance of PT patients among floating population might be affected by age, educational level, catastrophic expenditure of tuberculosis and knowledge of pulmonary tuberculosis (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥60 years old, education level of junior middle school or below, having catastrophic expenditure of tuberculosis and lacking knowledge of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment were the influencing factors for poor medication compliance of PT patients among floating population (P<0.05). Conclusion Age ≥60 years old, education level of junior high school or below, having catastrophic expenditure of tuberculosis and lacking knowledge of pulmonary tuberculosis treatment may be the influencing factors for poor medication compliance of PT patients among floating population. Relevant programs can be developed clinically to improve medication compliance according to the above factors.
