Impact of individualized health education on the intervention effect of knowledge,attitude and practice for family close contacts of tuberculosis patients

Abstract:Objective To study the impact of individualized health education on the intervention effect of knowledge,attitude and practice for family close contacts of tuberculosis patients.Methods A total of 200 family close contacts of tuberculosis patients received by Xinzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Wuhan City from August to December 2019 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into the intervention group and the control group according to the random lottery method,with 100 cases in each group.Individualized health education measures were implemented for the intervention group,and the control group was provided with general disease-related knowledge education.A questionnaire survey of knowledge,attitude and practice was conducted after 3 months.The scores of core information awareness,positive attitudes and prevention practice of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the scores of core information awareness,positive attitudes and prevention practice of the intervention group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Individualized health education has a very significant effect on the knowledge,attitude and practice intervention of family close contacts of tuberculosis patients.It can increase the awareness rate of tuberculosis-related knowledge of close contacts,change their attitudes and health practice about tuberculosis prevention and control,and become extremely positive in tuberculosis prevention and control,which is beneficial to the prevention and control of tuberculosis and has promotion value.
