Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of comprehensive rehabilitation skills training on medication compliance and disease burden in patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 60 schizophrenic patients who were admitted to Ba′nan District Mental Health Center of Chongqing from June 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the research subjects. According to the random number table method, they divided into the study group (30 patients) and the control group (30 patients). Patients in the study group were treated with comprehensive rehabilitation skill training intervention, and patients in the control group were treated with routine health education and guidance services for schizophrenia. The intervention was conducted for 2 hours twice a week for 6 months. Before intervention and 6 months after intervention, the medication compliance scale and family burden of disease scale were used to evaluate and compare medication compliance and family burden of disease between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences were observed in the scores of the medication compliance and the family burden of disease between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05). After the intervention, the drug compliance score of the study groups was higher than that before intervention in this group, and the drug compliance score of the study group was higher than that of the control group, with the statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After the intervention, the family burden of disease score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the family burden of disease score of the study groups was lower than that before intervention in this group, with the statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with health education, comprehensive rehabilitation skill training can improve the medication compliance of patients with schizophrenia and reduce the family burden of disease.
