Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of case management on rehabilitation of chronic inpatients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic schizophrenia who were admitted to Jiangmen City Third People′s Hospital from July 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group. Both group received routine nursing care, while the observation group added case management mode on rehabilitation.Indicators such as the occurrence of dangerous events, the effect of rehabilitation of the condition, and the quality of life of the patients under the two intervention modes were compared, while the subjective recognition of the two intervention modes was compared between the two groups. Results The total incidence of risk events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After the intervention, the rehabilitation efficacy rating scale (IPROS) scores of the two groups were lower than those before the intervention, and the IPROS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The quality of life score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In the nursing process of chronic hospitalized patients with schizophrenia, the use of case management model can not only prevent and reduce the occurrence of dangerous events, but also benefit the improvement and recovery of the patient′s condition, high satisfaction and good quality of life.
