Abstract:ObjectiveTo discuss the application effect of modified early warning score in emergency internal medicine.Methods200 cases in internal medicine emergency in our hospital from June 2015 to July 2017 were selected as study objects. All cases were evaluated by MEWS.The where abouts and prognosis of patients with different scores in different score group was compared.Results128 cases scored≤4 points, and 72 cases scored≥5 points and were sent to ICU rates, and mortality of cases with MEWS≥5 points were higher than those of those of cases with MEWS≤4 points, which showed significant difference(P<0.05).ICU rates in cases with MEWS 7-8 points,≥9 points were higher than those of cases with MEWS 5-6 points,3-4 points and 0-2 points, and cases with MEWS 5-6 points was higher than that of cases with MEWS 3-4 points and 0-2 points, which showed significant difference(P<0.05).Mortality of cases with MEWS 7-8 points and ≥9 points were higher than that of the cases with 0-2,3-4 points and 5-6 points, which showed significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionThe application of MEWS in emergency department has important clinical significance for evaluating the patients′condition, and can effectively predict the prognosis of the patient.
