Abstract:ObjectiveTo study and explore the clinical significance of early enteral nutrition and nursing in critically ill patients of Neurology department.MethodsA total of 60 critically ill patients admitted to our hospital from January 2014 to March 2017 were prospectively studied. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table, with 30 cases in each group. The control group adopted routine enteral nutrition support, and the observation group adopted early enteral nutrition support, and the nursing intervention was applied to the two groups during the period of nutritional support. Two groups of Neurology severe patients were compared in terms of nutritional indicators, immune function indexes, and the incidence of complications.ResultsAfter treatment, the nutrition indicators of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);before treatment, compared two groups of immune function indexes, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),but after treatment, the immune function indexes of the observation group were better than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionEarly enteral nutrition support and nursing intervention can effectively improve the nutritional status and immune function of patients with severe neurological diseases, and also can reduce complications,it is propitious to improve prognosis.
