Application effect of early pathological nursing intervention in the nursing of elderly patients after general anesthesia

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of early pathological nursing intervention in the nursing of elderly patients after general anesthesia.Methods Sixty-six elderly patients undergoing general anesthesia for abdominal surgery from December 2016 to December 2017 were selected as the subjects, and divided into the experimental group and the reference group by drawing lots, with 38 cases in each group.Patients in the reference group were given routine nursing intervention, and patients in the experimental group were given early pathological nursing intervention.The improvement of cognitive dysfunction, hospitalization time and total incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups.Results The mini-mental state examination (MMSE) score of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse event of the experimental group (5.26%) was lower than that of the reference group (21.05%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The hospitalization time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the reference group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Early interventional nursing intervention for elderly patients undergoing general anesthesia can significantly improve postoperative cognitive dysfunction, reduce the incidence of adverse events and shorten the length of hospital stay.
