Abstract：Objective To compare the effect of laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer and open radical resection of colon cancer in the treatment of colon cancer.Methods One hundred patients with colon cancer from January 2015 to May 2016 were enrolled in the study.The patients were divided into experimental group (n=50) and control group (n=50) according to the random number table.In the control group, open radical resection of colon cancer was used, while in the experimental group, laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer was adopted.The differences in surgical conditions (operation time, surgical bleeding volume, lymph node dissection), short-term efficacy (gastrointestinal recovery time, length of hospital stay, incidence rate of intestinal obstruction and wound infection) and long-term efficacy (disease recurrence rate, incidence rate disease metastasis and survival rate within 2 years) of patients in the two groups were analyzed.Results There were no significant differences in the operation time and lymph node dissection between the two groups (P>0.05).The surgical bleeding volume in the experimental group was significantly less than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The gastrointestinal recovery time and length of hospital stay in the experimental group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, the incidence rates of intestinal obstruction and wound infection were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).There were no significant differences in incidence rate disease recurrence, disease metastasis rate and survival rate within 2 years between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion For patients with colon cancer, the application of laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer and open radical resection of colon cancer obtain a certain effect, but the short-term efficacy of laparoscopic radical resection of colon cancer is better.
