Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of distal tibial locking compression plate in the treatment of complex Pilon fracture. Methods A total of 60 patients with complex Pilon fracture (excluding typeⅠPilon fracture)admitted to our hospital from June 2015 to June 2018 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group(30 cases)and the control group (30 cases). Both groups were given continuous combined spinal-epidural anesthesia. The control group was treated with anatomical compression plate internal fixation. The observation group was treated with distal tibial locking compression plate internal fixation. The operative effect, operation time, recovery time, hospitalization time and complications (incision infection, skin necrosis, ankle swelling, ankle stiffness, delayed fracture healing)were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 95.5%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group (77.8%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The operation time, recovery time and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence rate of complication in the observation group was 8.8%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group (26.7%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of complex Pilon fracture with locking compression plate of distal tibia has remarkable curative effect, with fewer complications and quick recovery after operation. It is worth popularizing and applying in clinic.
