Abstract： Objective To explore the application effect of knowledge attitude belief practice (KABP) nursing mode in patients with kidney stones treated by flexible ureteroscope. Methods A total of 80 patients with kidney stones treated in our hospital from September 2018 to September 2019 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the control group (n=40) and the observation group (n=40) by drawing lottery. In the control group，conventional nursing was used，and in the observation group，KABP nursing mode was adopted. The disease awareness，compliance score，self-care ability，quality of life index (QLI)，nursing outcome (NOC)，postoperative complications，and overall nursing satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group，the disease awareness，compliance with doctor′s advice，self-care ability，NOC score，QLI score，and total nursing satisfaction rate were all higher than those in the control group，and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that of the control group，and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion The use of the KABP nursing mode in patients with kidney stones treated by flexible ureteroscope can strengthen the disease cognitive awareness，self-care ability and compliance with doctor′s advice，reduce the incidence of postoperative complications，improve their quality of life and nursing satisfaction，which is worthy of clinical application.
