Abstract:Objective To explore the application of endoscopic tympanoplasty in patients with chronic otitis media. Methods A total of 200 patientswith chronic otitismedia admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were selected as the study objects. They were randomly divided into the observation group (100 cases)and the control group (100 cases)according to the computer distribution. The observation group was treated with endoscopic tympanoplasty, while the control group was treated with conventional treatment. The total incidence of adverse reactions, lesion eradication rate, hearing recovery rate, recurrence rate and dry ear rate of the two groups were compared. Results The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The eradication rate of lesions in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The hearing recovery rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The dry ear rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differencewas statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic tympanoplasty has significant advantages in the incidence of adverse reactions, lesion eradication and hearing recovery in the treatment of chronic otitismedia.
