Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of endoscopic tympanoplasty on chronic otitis media. Methods A total of 74 patients with chronic otitis media treated in our hospital from April 2018 to April 2019 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group (n=37) and observation group (n=37) by the random number table method. The patients in the control group were treated by routine operation, while those in the observation group were treated by endoscopic tympanoplasty. The dry ear rate, cure rate, disease recurrence and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared, and the bone conduction hearing threshold and air conduction hearing threshold of the two groups were observed. Results The dry ear rate and cure rate of the patients in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The bone conduction hearing threshold, air conduction hearing threshold and disease recurrence rate of the patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance between the two groups in the total incidence of postoperative complications (P>0.05). Conclusion Endoscopic tympanoplasty is a clinically effective treatment for chronic otitis media. It not only has a high clinical cure rate, but also can prevent recurrence of the disease and has the value of further promotion and implementation.
