Abstract:objective To compare the clinical effect of laparoscopic herniorrhaphy and open-type tension-free herniorrhaphy in the treatment of adult inguinal hernia. Methods A total of 72 patients with inguinal hernia who were treated in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were selected as the research subjects, they were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 36 cases in each group.Laparoscopic herniorrhaphy was used in the observation group, and open-type tension-free herniorrhaphy was used in the control group. The general operative conditions, postoperative complications and postoperative follow-up of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time, postoperative pain duration, the time of out of bed and hospitalization days in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the amount of intraoperative bleeding and the times of painkiller use in the observation group were fewer than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 8.33%, which was lower than that in the control group (25.00%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The time of disappearance of foreign body sensation in groin, induration of groin and numbness in the observation group were shorter than that in the control group, and the incidence of thrombosis and recurrence of hernia in femoral vein were lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic herniorrhaphy is effective in the treatment of adult inguinal hernia, with fewer postoperative complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
