Abstract：As one of the most common complications of diabetes, insomnia caused seriously bad effects on day social life of the patients with diabetes.Professor ZHANG Yu-qin has been engaged in the treatment of diabetes and its complications for more than 40 years, and professor ZHANG Yu-qin has been familiar with classical Chinese medicine theory and combined with clinical practice, and professor ZHANG Yu-qin attributed the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus combined with insomnia to deficiency of both qi and yin and blood stasis, heat disturbing the mind and heart, and incompatibility between heart and kidney.In the treatment, professor ZHANG Yu-qin according to the different concurrent symptoms and signs of the patients, combined the four diagnostic methods and flexible modification, achieved the better clinical efficacy.
