Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Eucalyptol Limonene and Pinene Enteric Soft Capsules combined with Ambroxol Hydrochloride in the treatment of senile pneumonia.Methods A total of 50 elderly patients with pneumonia admitted to our hospital from December 2015 to December 2017 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method，the patients were divided into the control group （n=25）and the study group（n=25）.The control group was treated with Ambroxol Hydrochloride，and the study group was treated with Eucalyptol Limonene and Pinene Enteric Soft Capsules on the basis of the control group.The two groups were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy of two groups after treatment，TCM syndrome score of clinical symptoms and the level of inflammatory factors（interleukin-6 ［IL-6］，C-reactive protein ［CRP］，tumor necrosis factor-α ［TNF-α］and macrophage migration inhibitory factor ［MIF］）of the two groups before and after treatment was compared.The adverse reaction of the two groups during treatment was observed.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 96.00%（24/25），which was significantly higher than 76.00%（19/25）of the control group（P＜0.05）.The TCM syndrome score of clinical symptoms in the two groups after 1，2 weeks of treatment was lower than that before treatment，and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group （P＜0.05）.After treatment，the level of IL-6，CRP，TNF-α and MIF in the two groups was lower than that before treatment，and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group （P＜0.05）.There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups（P＞0.05）.Conclusion Eucalyptol Limonene and Pinene Enteric Soft Capsules combined with Ambroxol Hydrochloride in the treatment of senile pneumonia has definite curative effect.It can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients，reduce the level of inflammatory factors，and has good safety.It has certain clinical application value.
