Abstract:Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of laparoscopic and open surgery in the treatment of right colon tumors. Methods A total of 98 patients with right colon cancer treated in our hospital from January 2011 to May 2013 were selected as the research objects.According to the different surgical methods, they were divided into the observation groups(n=50)and the control group(n=48).The control group received laparotomy, and the observation group received laparoscopic surgery. The operative-related indicators, the incidence rate of complications and 5-year survival rates were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the amount of bleeding of the observation group was less than that of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The exhaust time,out-of-bed activity time and liquid diet time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).The incidence rate of complication of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the 5-year survival rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Laparoscopic surgery is superior to open surgery in the treatment of right colon cancer. It is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
