Expression and significance of Snail protein in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

Abstract:Objective To explore the expression and significance of Snail protein in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.Methods A total of 72 patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma from March 2011 to February 2016 in Center Hospital of Yuncheng City were selected as the research object.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the patient′s tissues.The expression of Snail protein in the cancer tissues and adjacent tissues,the relationship between the expression of Snail protein and the clinicopathological factors,and the total survival rate and the total recurrence rate of the patients were observed.Results The immunohistochemical score of the tissue was (2.8±0.8)points,which was significantly higher than that of the adjacent tissues([0.9±0.8]points)(P<0.05).The high expression rate of Snail protein in cancer tissues was 45.8%,which was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(16.7%)(P<0.05).There were significant differences in TNM staging,microvascular invasion and recurrence between different Snail protein (P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that there was a significant difference in the overall survival rate and total recurrence rate of microvessels and the high expression or low expression of Snail protein(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of Snail protein in the cancer tissues of the patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma is higher than that in the adjacent tissues,and the expression of Snail protein can be used as an indicator of the prognosis of the patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
