Abstract:Objective To get known the effect of Huangqi Ejiao Butie Oral Solution in improving iron-deficiency anemia.MethodsSeventy-four rats were selected. The an animal model of anemia using iron-deficiency diet was established. These rat models were divided into the low-,medium-,and high-dose sample groups and low-iron group by random block based on the hemoglobin (Hb)level,3.33 ml/kg BW,6.67 ml/kg BW and 20.0 ml/kg BW,and deionized water for 32-day intragastric administration in turn. The rats'weight,Hb,hematocrit(Hct)and free erythrocyte protoporphyrin (FEP)were observed. Results There was no significant difference in rat body weight in these sample groups compared with low-iron control group(P>0.05).The Hb(F=161.156)and Hct(F=78.771)in the three dose groups using Huangqi Ejiao Butie Oral Solution were significantly higher than those in the low-iron control group(P<0.05).The value of FEP(F=170.516)was significantly lower compared with that in the low-iron control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Huangqi Ejiao Butie Oral Solution can improve iron-deficiency anemia.
