Abstract：Objective To explore the pragmatic application effect of PDCA cycle management in operation-room nursing management.Methods Thirty-six nurses accepted plan-do-check action (PDCA)cycle management in operation room from May 2014 to May 2015 were selected as the subjects of this study.PDCA cycle management was used to manage nurse′s work in the operating room from stages of planning,doing,checking,and action.The comprehensive evaluation results were compared and analyzed before and after PDCA cycle management.Results After applying PDCA cycle management,the scores of quality control,nursing safety,document management,humanistic care,environmental management,and disinfection and isolation in these participants were all higher than those before management,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After the implementation of the PDCA cycle management,satisfaction on nursing work by physicians was also much higher than that before,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05）.Conclusion The application of PDCA cycle management in operation-room nursing management can improve the nursing quality.
