Application value of traditional Chinese medicine nursing in rehabilitation of hemiplegic limbs in patients with stroke

Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)nursing in promoting the rehabilitation of hemiplegic patients with stroke.Methods A tolal of 60 patients with hemiplegia after stroke admitted to our hospital from March to September 2017 were analyzed retrospectively.They were divided into control group and study group with 30 cases in each group according to nursing method.The control group was given routine nursing in department of neurology of rehabilitation department,while the research group was given TCM nursing for two weeks.The nursing effects of the two groups were observed and compared.NIHSS,Barthel index and Berg balance scale score were compared.Results The total effective rate for nursing of patients in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Before nursing,there was no statistically significant difference in NIHSS score,Barthel index,Berg balance for nursing and limb function score between the two groups(P>0.05).After nursing,the NIHSS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group,Barthel index and Berg balance scale score were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion Accepting traditional TCM for hemiplegic patients with stroke can obviously improve their daily life ability and limb movement function,improve the curative effect,and is worthy of clinical popularization.
