Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of internal fixation with hollow nail and total hip arthroplasty in the treatment of femoral neck fracture.Methods A total of 74 cases of femoral neck fracture treated in our orthopaedics department from June 2012 to June 2014 were selected and randomly divided into internal fixation group groups(n=37)and permutation group (n=37).The internal fixation group was treated by internal fixation with hollow screws,permutation group was treated with total hip replacement.The postoperative conditions,and postoperative follow up for 12 months Harris hip joint function and quality of life of two groups of patients were campared.Results The operation time in permutation group was longer than that of the internal fixation group(P<0.05),the intraoperative blood was more than that of internal fixation group(P<0.05).The bed time of the permutation group was significantly faster than that of the internal fixation group(P<0.05),fracture healing time was significantly faster than that of the internal fixation group(P<0.05),hospitalization time was significantly shorter than that in the internal fixation group(P<0.05),the postoperative complication rate was significantly lower than that in the internal fixation group(P<0.05).The permutation group excellent and good rate of hip joint function was significantly higher than that in the internal fixation group at 12 months after operation (P<0.05);The mental health,emotional function,life activity,physical pain,physical function,physical function,social function and overall health score of the permutation group were higher than those in the internal fixation group after 12 months,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Total hip replacement for treatment of femoral neck fracture is better than that of the hollow pin internal fixation,and it can improve the function and quality of life of the patients.
