Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of total hip replacement in the treatment of coxarthropathy. Methods Seventy-six patients with coxarthropathy undergone total hip replacement ranging from 2009 to 2013 in our hospital were selected as research objects and classified into observation group.Another group of 50 patients with coxarthropathy who were applied with regular treatment was selected as control group. The improvement of hip joint function and pain degree after therapy in both groups were compared. At the same time, the occurrence of postoperative complications in the observation group was understood. Results The excellent and good rates of hip joint function improvement after therapy in the observation group and control group was 93.98%,49.09%respectively.The pain by visual analogue scale(VAS)score between two groups was(2.8±1.0)points and(7.3±2.1)points,and the Harris score between the two groups was(88.3±4.5)points and(65.1±2.9)points in turn. The improvement of indexes in the observation group after comparison was significantly better than that in the control group, with statistical differences(P<0.05).During the follow-up period,no hip dislocation, nerve injury, infection, screw loosening and other complications occurred in the observation group. Conclusion Total hip replacement can obtain a remarkable effect in the treatment of coxarthropathy. It can decrease patient′s pain degree, display a favorable recovery effect of hip joint function after surgery, and has a low incidence of complications with an optimal effect.
