Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Azithromycin combined with Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate in the treatment of children with refractory Mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods A total of 80 children with refractory Mycoplasma pneumonia treated in our hospital from January 2015 to May 2017 were selected as subjects.According to the different treatment measures, patients were divided into two groups,40 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were treated by Azithromycin alone, and patients in the observation group were treated by Azithromycin combined with Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate were classified into observation group. The time of wheezing, cough, and sputum expectoration disappeared, the time of fever abating, clinical efficacy, and the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)before and after therapy in the two groups were observed and compared. Results In the observation group, the time of wheezing, cough, and sputum expectoration disappeared, and the time of fever abating were all shorter compared with those in the control group with statistical significance(P<0.05).The levels of CRP and LDH before treatment were not displayed significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05).After therapy, the levels of CRP and LDH in the two groups were both lower compared with those before treatment,at the same time, the CRP and LDH levels after therapy in the observation group were both lower compared with those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total clinical effectiveness rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group with a significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Azithromycin combined with Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate in the treatment of children with refractory Mycoplasma pneumonia can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and obtain a good clinical effect, which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
