Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the efficacy and safety of Azithromycin in the treatment of acute bacterial lower respiratory tract infection.Methods42 cases of acute bacterial lower respiratory infection from January 2015 to February 2016 in our hospital for treatment were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, 21 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Ceftazidime, the observation group was given Azithromycin. The cured and markedly effective rate, bacterial clearance rate and the incidence rate of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared.ResultsThe cured and markedly effective rate of the observation group was 90.48%,which was higher than 61.90%of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the bacterial clearance rate between the two groups(P=0.264).The incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group was 14.3%,which was lower than 47.6%in the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).ConclusionAzithromycin in the treatment of acute bacterial lower respiratory infection is safe and effective, less adverse reactions,it is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
