Significance analysis of C-reactive Protein and brain natriuretic PePtide exPression from PeriPheral blood in Pediatric Patients suffering from congenital heart disease combined with heart failure

Abstract:Objective To exp1ore the expression significance of C-reactive protein(CRP),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)1eve1 from periphera1 b1ood in chi1dren with congenita1 heart disease (CHD)combined with congestive heart fai1ure (CHF).Methods 57 CHD patients from January 2010 to December 2015 in our hospita1 were se1ected as the research group,inc1uded simp1e CHD(n=14),combination of CHF(n=30)and combination of CHF and pneumonia(n=13).Another 20 chi1dren with pneumonia and in hea1th condition were random1y se1ected at the same time.The 1eve1 of CRP and BNP from periphera1 b1ood in each group were detected by enzyme-1inked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)in order to ana1yze the re1ationship between BNP,CRP 1eve1 and 1eft ventricu1ar ejection fraction (LVEF)in CHD combining with CHF.Results The 1eve1 of BNP and CRP in the CHD combining with CHF and pneumonia group,the CHD combining with CHF group was higher than that in the pneumonia group and the hea1thy group,with significant difference (P<0.05).The 1eve1 of BNP and CRP in the simp1e CHD group was 1ower than that in the CHD combining with CHF and pneumonia group,the CHD combining with CHF group,with significant difference (P<0.05).The 1eve1 of CRP and BNP in the mi1d group was 1ower than that in the moderate group and the severe group,the 1eve1 of CRP and BNP in the moderate group was 1ower than that in the severe group,with significant difference(P<0.05).The 1eve1 of BNP was negative1y corre1ated with LVEF in CHD combing with CHF group (P<0.05).Conclusion CRP and BNP in the ear1y diagnosis of CHD combined with CHF in chi1dren have a certain ro1e in assisting,BNP can be used to eva1uate cardiac function in patients with CHD and CHF.
