Abstract：Objective To investigate the related factors of tobacco dependence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease （COPD）patients in Kunming area.Methods A total of 300 patients with COPD were selected from 5 tertiary hospitals in Kunming area for investigation from August 2014 to February 2015.The related factors of tobacco dependence in COPD patients were analyzed by filling in and collecting self-designed questionnaire.Results Among 300 cases of patients，there were 294 cases of male and 6 cases of female，their tobacco dependence scores was（5.64±2.13）points.There were 202 cases of ex-smoker（67.3%）and 98 cases of smoker（32.7%）.Single factor analysis showed that the tobacco dependence scores had statistically significant differences in patients with different cultural degree，economic income，smoking index（P＜0.05）.Multiple regression analysis showed that，tobacco dependence score=1.152+1.43×smoking index.Conclusion Tobacco dependence of COPD patients is high，and positively associated with smoking index，the related departments should strengthen the smoking cessation propaganda.
