Abstract:Objective To explore clinical effect of α-asarone injection aerosol inhalation as adjuvant therapy for neonatal pneumonia. Methods 68 patients with neonatal pneumonia treated in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2016 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, each group with 34 cases.Patients in the control group were given routine therapy including oxygen inhalation,anti-infection,and symptomatic treatment, while patients in the observation group were additionally given α-asarone injection+normal saline aerosol inhalation as adjuvant therapy, course of treatment for 7 days. The effects in two groups were observed and compared. Results The total effective rate was 91.2%in the observation group, which was significantly higher than 64.7%in the control group (P<0.05).The remission time of cough, expectoration and asthma, extinction time of lung rale, hospital stays in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group respectively (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Application of α-asarone injection aerosol inhalation can effectively improve the treatment effect on neonatal pneumonia, relieve clinical symptoms of patients, and facilitate early discharge of patients, which is worth to be promoted.
